They are iconic buildings that embed the Modernist idea of the right to a home — a home for everyone. At the time it was conceived, the complex was very positive, optimistic and progressive.
Cameo Theater
The Cameo Theater building is on the National Register of Historic Places and was designed by Miami Beach Architect Robert Collins. The Cameo opened in 1938 and was designed in the Art Deco style, more specifically the Streamline Moderne sub-genre.
