I remember the second I found this book in a remainder pile in Munich in 1985 – still today to me this is the most tender depiction of man. I am very glad that today for the first time I hear of something in connection with his name.
what makes me really sad though is that he is not mentioned as a photographer in his own right and that we still need to make relations to the color of our skins. When will the moment come when I cease to be Caucasian and finally become a man ?
