You've got to dig to dig it, you dig?
This exhibition, in multiple venues, is in conjunction of the launch of the book, Miami Contemporary Artists (www.miamicontemporaryartists.com) . There are many artists in this book, somewhere around 100, I’ll venture to guess that there are at least as many in the exhibitions.

I don’t have much time to write about last Saturday; so, I’ll thank Quisqueya Henriquez for her works, in A Heap of Paradise. I was feeling a bit lousy and was nursing a headache; but her works, especially the collage and drawings on newsprints – Untitled (baseball players), made my evening. Thanks.
Pablo Gonzalez-Trejo will participate in Exposition Jeune Création 2007, in Paris.

Martin Oppel‘s exhibition of works at Galerie Perrotin, Paris. Hernan Bas wrote an accompanying text.
I really love this exhibition. The show is beautiful. The works (mixed media covered with mirror tiles and [showered with] light) are well placed in relation to the other works, the gallery space, and the viewers. This exhibition presents three (actually, five –the first sculpture is of three objects, Gemstones (part I, II and III)) sculptures with strong pull and a fluid, luminous space in-between the objects. On accepting Wischer’s invitation to search for magic, one’s movements are satellite-like – gently falling in the orbit of these sculptures. Angels and Ancestors (part III), which takes the form of a baobab tree, is especially dominant, with a strong gravitational attraction; space seemed to curve about it.
