On the evening of December 24, 1906 (Christmas Eve), Fessenden used the alternator-transmitter to send out a short program from Brant Rock, which included his playing the song O Holy Night on the violin and reading a passage from the Bible.

We are sad to say that after 58 years we are closing our doors.
Our last day of production will be December 22, 2006, but our customer service will open until January 12, 2007 (except for Christmans week, when we will be closed for the holiday). You may pick up your finished orders until that date.
